Role Overview:

We’re looking for a Senior Accountant to help us build a scalable, high-performing finance function in a fast-growing international environment. You’ll own key accounting processes end-to-end, from closing activities to optimizing AR and AP. You bring structure, clarity, and smart improvements along the way. Main responsibilities:

Monthly and Annual Financial Close (50%):

  • Participate in the preparation of timely and accurate monthly and annual financial closing activities in accordance with HGB.

  • Enter financial data, such as revenues, accruals, deferrals, fixed asset depreciation, and reclassification entries into our ledger(s), and create supporting documentation.

  • Reconcile or check sub-ledgers, such as payroll, vendor- and customer accounts, as well as our assets.

  • Prepare and review VAT filings (Umsatzsteuervoranmeldung) and support broader tax compliance across entities, in accordance with local regulations and internal standards.

  • Create consolidated, monthly financial statements.

  • Support auditors in conducting internal and external audits.

Accounts Payables- and Accounts Receivables Management (50%):

  • Focus on improving the efficiency and compliance of our accounts receivable processes.

  • Be a sparring partner when it comes to enhancing the compliance and efficiency of our accounts payable process.

  • Help both teams, AR and AP, with a timely and accurate record of our invoices, ensuring our standard operating procedures are followed.

Main Requirements:

  • Completed Bilanzbuchhalter (IHK) or a similar degree in Accounting & Finance, or a comparable qualification, focusing on HGB and Umsatzsteuer.

  • Knowledge of IFRS or US-GAAP is a plus.

  • 3-5 years of professional experience in accounting, with exposure to month-end or year-end closing tasks.

  • Experience with accounting on ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite) is a plus.

  • Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, reliability, and an independent, structured way of working.

  • Ability to adapt to a dynamic and growing environment.

  • Fluency in German and English, both written and spoken. Spanish skills are a plus.
