Business Analyst (Frankfurt)

Job description

As a Business Analyst you bring together technical expertise, business comprehension and insights through reports and operational analyses for internal and external stakeholders. You will acquire, process and analyze critical financial and performance data in close collaboration with our Data Analytics Team.


Reporting directly to the Head of Finance, this opportunity is part of a young entrepreneurial team willing to share its experience and you will directly support the management decision-making process in the context of the overall strategy. 


  • You establish stable, qualitative and functional operational and financial reports and analyses.

  • Understand operational processes in collaboration with operational stakeholders and investors to identify, harmonize and correct contextual contradictions in data models.

  • Drive the design, development and implementation of regular and ad-hoc metrics, reports, dashboards, etc., to make key business decisions more data-driven and share with different stakeholders.

  • Deep-dive into large data sets and provide insights into patterns identified from the past (statistical analyses) and derive actionable recommendations from data analyses.

  • Develop and maintain forecasts and scenarios of revenue and key performance indicators, and introduce planning tools for their management.

  • Support the company-wide strategy processes by establishing measurable outcomes for our key strategic initiatives.

  • Collaborate on the definition of data requirements and support our Data Analytics Team on upstream processes in data acquisition, validation, and visualization in our data landscape (Tableau) to ensure excellent data quality.

  • Partner closely with internal stakeholders (Sales, Operations, Quality, CRM and Data Analytics) to make our business more data-driven while bringing in your own ideas and insights.

Job requirements

  • You are fluent in English.

  • You are a business professional with a strong interest in data, operational processes and the overall company strategy.

  • You have a bachelor's or master's degree in Management, Controlling, Data Analytics, Business Information System, Business Engineering, Business, Economics or a similar field.

  • At least 3-5 years of experience in Business Analytics, Business Intelligence, and/or Controlling, preferably in a B2B environment.

  • Knowledge of data warehousing, business and big data concepts, tools and terminologies.

  • Experience with Microsoft Excel.

  • Knowledge of reporting tools (preferably Tableau). SQL and Python are a plus.

  • You have an entrepreneurial mindset, you like being hands-on, are curious, outcome-oriented, a great team player, and like to share your knowledge with your colleagues to grow together.

  • You are not afraid to speak up and take ownership.

  • Strong communication and leadership skills; comfortable delivering results to stakeholders and colleagues, and discussing technical concepts with a range of audiences.
